The Life of A Retired Sex Worker, Part. 1

So I decided to blog a bit about life after retirement, it seems so many of you - ladies and gents - are curious about it. So here is my blow-by-blow:

Step One: Cleansing & Purging My Home

I officially retired Friday. I took down the majority of my website and decided to leave the links and blog. They are web collateral that are great for my portfolio, and now I can use the site as an example.

Then it was time to clean house. I have always had incall in my house and had to arrange my life and furniture to accommodate that. I started by cleaning out my bureau where I left all my "equipment" and just tossed its contents. It felt liberating. I lugged a large garbage of sheets, massage cream and various stuff to the garbage. I lifted, I heaved and in the bin it went. I paused and thought, "Wow, that felt good."

When I came back into my home, I felt like I had more space. In celebration, I bought a beautiful new rug. I arranged my furniture to my liking, not my Massage Table's, and put the new rug down. The rooms felt more coherent and liked they had more flow. My home felt more "proper", it's not a live/workspace anymore, it's my home.

I have scrubbed it top to bottom and it feels NEW to me. I will not longer have clients here, only friends and family. I slept amazingly well and woke up refreshed.

Step Two: Retail Therapy

Okay, retail therapy commenced on Friday with the carpet. But today was clothes and "work attire". I am still designing and doing web marketing (it's going really well and it was a catalyst for my retirement decision). Starting next Monday, I have a "real job" that is utilizing my passions and I need business casual. So I went and did exactly that, I went and bought business attire, but I did it with my little quirky flairs. I love the return to the 40s and 50s - I have bought nothing but dresses and skirts, along with killer shoes. And guess what, not one thing is black, except a belt and shoes. I went for all shades of blues, dark denims, coral and earth greens. I even own brown now! Two pairs of shoes and a pair of boots! I was like "Whoa! Who is this girl?"

I am usually BLACK everything, down to my draws. Everything I bought is very conservative, but fun, low heels and flats, comfortable. It's the opposite of the past three years, sexy, dark and mysterious because of my role. I've talked about the changes I've been going through in the past few years - learning from life lessons and becoming wiser. So the new look it very me. I am looking forward to the big - 30 - even though it's 1.5 years away. I no longer iron my hair, it's curly and I love my BUMBLE and BUMBLE Curl Conscious Creme that makes it fabulous on a daily basis. I even have started to wear my glasses again, I realize now how much I need them. They are brown with gold hardware, so they play up the tan skin. I feel like a caterpillar coming out of a cocoon. I am ready for the next phase.

Step Three: Actualization

I then put the massage table on craigslist and it was gone in 24 hours. Only $60, I just wanted it gone. I was going to beat it with a bat, but I think the neighbors would have thought it was a bit crazy and suspicious. I let it go, because it symbolized true retirement for me, and honestly. I am not coming back ever. I can't, it was starting to wear on my soul and I losing myself. I write about never getting to that point, and when I saw I was approaching, I left. Not even for my very favorite clients, I need to have me time. Single, Sexy and loving it. It leaves me free to move forward to the next phase of my life.

Step Four: Playing It Forward

I am working with a friend on creating a blog just for ladies. It is going to focus on balance, harmony and getting in and out of this industry in one piece. More to come. Just lots of thoughts to organize.

DangerZone411 & eBooks

I was talking to the beautiful Ciara last week about how far Dangerzone411 has come in past two years. Wow, can you believe it's been that long?

We were discussing the ways to help the site grow and reach to more women. Even though we have something like 2500 hundred members, we still receive too many reports of women being abused and hurt.

This can't happen. My motto is "Every Escort Should BE Business Savvy," and being savvy starts with safety. So I am personally encouraging everyone to join Dangerzone411, when you do, you will receive a private link to download my book "The Art of Sensuality" for FREE.

Yes, Yes! I said the FREE word. We all love that word.

It's not just a book for FBSM providers, it will help any woman up her game in her business. So go! You have until Monday to get it.

The Escort Guide to Email Screening - The High Road

As an escort, your first mode of communication for scheduling appointments with a client is email. For a few, it’s phone (phone ladies - I suggested you got to email).

You can tell a lot about a person through their first email communication to you. If they send an email or submit your request form with all the information on it, you are most like good to go for screening and seeing that person. But if the send you an email that goes something like this:

“Hi - My name is John. I want to see you at the Mandarin in San Francisco this evening. I found your ad on Eros.”

Most likely, you are bit peeved, if John has read your ad, he would have known that your site and your Eros ad both said, please send me X information in order to make an appointment. But then you look at the full header and it contains John’s company email address. You forgive him a bit as he did send the main components of screening - his real name and work information.

So you decided to email John back.

You tell John that you are located in Los Angeles and not currently in San Francisco. But you offer to see him when he gets back. He says to follow up in a few days.

A few days pass and you follow up with John, after all, you are good business woman. You keep on top of important things.

John emails you back and says. “I am in Orange County, Why would I drive to see you in LA?”

At this point, most ladies have two choices.

1 - Not respond to John. He is not worth the effort.

2 - Respond to John and remind him he contacted you and asked you to write back.

And for good measure, you let John know that the “holier than thou” tone isn’t appreciated, you are following his request.

John writes back “Screw You.”

You have a choice again, you can:

1 - Not respond.

2 - Tell John he is rude for emailing that, you didn’t do anything. You will not see him.

John of course emails back saying, “Wow - you are a piece of work. You must not have clients, bitch.”

Ladies, at this point, don’t respond.

Why?

Because men like John are a large majority of the men who email escorts out of need for control and power. They waste your time and are the cause of bad client experiences.

But here is the Callie Analysis of men like this:

* Sarcastic - nothing kills chemistry like nasty sarcasm.
* Don’t want to screen/ won’t screen properly - they are disregarding a safety measure, do you want to see them?
* Doesn’t read ads - Obviously they could read far enough to find an email/phone number to contact you.
* Uses nasty language - Clearly has control issues and is going to be nasty in person.
* Sends emails back that are slightly hostile - “It’s play” - No it is not, they are hostile and critical

Overall the email experience says this person is not going to be happy with session, will cross your boundaries and has unreasonable expectations. Do you purposefully want to set yourself up to fail? Men like John are be pleased by you or any one else.

Move on to the next client who will give you the necessary information. Screening shouldn’t involve you pulling teeth.
