It's ALL Good!
I didn't realize it's been a month since my last entry! Wow! Well...things have been hectic, busy in a Good Way!
I FINALLY got the long awaited job I'd applied for when I arrived in Va back in Sept. After waiting more than 6 weeks, I was called for a first interview..passed that with flying colors...and was called back for 2 more interviews. I blew 'em all away! NO pun intended! I have returned to the Food Service business I left behind when my last child was born almost 13 years ago. The more than 20 years I'd spent in that line of work has actually paid off in a BIG way...I have an AWESOME position in a well known restaurant chain....complete with FULL benefits..medical, dental, vision, 401K, etc. There's great room for advancement..I plan on taking full advantage of ALL they are offering me..lots of room for advancement. I started 3 days ago...WOW...the people are awesome and I love it. I get to work later hours so I can spend time with my family in the mornings and at dinnertime. I will still be booking sessions w/established friends..don't think there will be much time to meet many 'new friends'..Only time will tell.
Southern livin' agrees with us! My dtr brought home a great report card..straight A's! We've started looking for our own apartment, we're very excited!
Many rental opportunities in this area..and VERY affordable, compared to where we were in NJ. I'm also learning to navigate this area a bit more! I had NO idea I was less than 10 mins away from the gorgeous Virginia Beach OceanFront! Come spring/summer, I can see we're gonna be spending a lot of time at the beach!!
And Sweet Tea...DAYUM! Can't live without it!! It has replaced my fav iced coffee!!
We're looking forward to Thanksgiving..we have family coming from NY and NJ. We got all the Turkey Day shopping done, just hope we bought enough food!!
Kudos to Sweet Sidney for designing my new site w/Moonfruit...NOW I need to figure out how to get it up live and running with my host..godaddy. I guess I should take a few mins to check the support pages; the info should be there somewhere!!
A quick shout out to my new friends at Ave X..I have made many new friends there since I became a member..So many cool people...
Time to make dinner; tonight its's breakfast for dinner. French toast with ham and hot chocolate!
IM HUNGRY!!!!
