Personal Assistants
Recently, while perusing various discussion forums and other ladies’ websites and posts, I’ve noticed an increase in the number of ladies who have personal assistants. They state that gentlemen who wish to book time with them will first be contacted, either by phone or email, by their personal assistant.
I decided to investigate the cost of hiring a personal assistant. I personally don’t feel that the volume of my business is such that I have any need for a personal assistant but I was curious about the cost. In addition to that, I’m quite sure that my writing and marketing abilities are such that I’m perfectly competent to handle my own correspondence and telephone communication – in fact, I probably have better skills in this department than most of those who offer such services. (Geez, maybe I should rethink my own career and become a personal assistant!)
What I learned was that there are several companies who offer such services. Those that I investigated where I was able to get information regarding their fees were, at least in my view, unbelievably expensive. The average was $500 per week or 15% of what the escort makes per week, whichever is lower.
At $500 per week, that adds up to a whopping $2,000 per month for personal assistant services! If, which is probably more typical for the average lady out there, one is making $1,500-2,000 per week, that would still be between $900-1,200 per month. I don’t know about most of you but I don’t think I would want to part with that kind of money for the convenience of having someone screen my calls, answer my emails and book my appointments.
Of course I’m sure there are a lot of personal assistants available who work as individuals and are probably much more affordable. Still, unless one is just incredibly in demand, I just really wonder if it’s that worth it to have one’s own personal assistant.
My other thought would be that if one is in the rarified atmosphere of charging upwards of $500/hour for one’s companionship, one isn’t booking large numbers of appointments per month anyway. Besides, at least from what I have seen, these upper echelon ladies only book multiple hour appointments rather than an hour at a time. If this is so, why would they need a personal assistant? Perhaps this whole personal assistant thing is simply something some ladies say because they believe it gives them more cache or makes them sound more enticing.
So ladies, if you utilize the services of a personal assistant, I would love to hear from you as to why you have found it advantageous to your business.
