Washington DC, revisited day one...
Well I arrived in DC and all I can say is..things have changed as well they should.
It is different driving as opposed to catching a bus all over the place. The streets just seem congested and small to me coming from Texas.
Thank goodness for the GPS, because I am horrible with people telling me how to get someplace, have to see it in my minds eye...
It is easy to see the locals, who look different from the tourist. We just look like deer in the head lights. The car is parked and btw, that is expensive, which is why the locals do public transportation.
I found myself checking out the leggs of the ladies today, I like.
I am not far from the zoo. Used to work as a teenager at the zoo, took two buses to get there.
I love all the cozy little restaurants along connecticut avenue. I like that i do not see all the chain restaurants I am used to seeing when i travel the country.
Because of heat, am relaxing at hotel in pool etc.
