OOOHHH ~ The Nasty FLU
OMG ~ I have not been really sick in YEARS!
Even with all the children and their runny noses and such.
But, boy it sure did hit me hard last Wednesday. Started the evening with a small fever and a little aches. By Thursday morning it had full hold on me.
I ran a fever of around 102 until late Saturday night. I kept thinking, oh, it is just a 24 hour bug....then, well it must just be a 48 hour bug.
Last night my son made me go to the ER to get checked out. The doctor couldn't believe I had waited so long to come in (well, when you have no insurance) But, I also thought I sure didn't want to try to go in on New Years Eve!!! Then there was New Years day with all of the people in there throwing up all over the place from TOO MUCH FUN on New Years Eve ~ YUCK ~ I rather be on my own sofa feeling like CRAP!
Well I guess the days of fever took its toll, and I guess my body was a bit dehydrated. They gave me three bags of fluids, tons of tests and some pain meds. And was told I had a really nasty virus.
I sure hope all of my wonderful friends had a better New Year than I did ~ lol
But, I plan to make up for it and kick some butt in 2011
